If you've seen Hannah Montana The Movie, then you know Lucas Till. Or at least you think you know Lucas Till. We were lucky enough to get a call from him the other day and got to know him a lot better. For instance, he graduated high school with honors, his favorite food is beef jerky and he had never been on a horse before filming the movie.
Oh, and he also happens to be totally laid back and cool, but that you probably already knew.
JSYK: If you could work with any actor next, who would it be?
Lucas: Leonardo DiCaprio. Or Johnny Depp. Or Brad Pitt, George Clooney or Matt Damon. Wow, that all came out at once. Any one of those.
JSYK: You recently shot a movie with Jackie Chan called The Spy Next Door. Can you tell us about your character?
Lucas: Yes, I'll tell you as much as I can. He is a Russian spy and I got to do some of my own stunts and that's all I can really say.
JSYK: Jackie Chan is famous for doing all his own stunts. Did you feel pressure to do well?
Lucas: Not really. He's Jackie Chan...there's no living up to that name or that talent. There definitely was pressure, I wanted to look good in front of him....BUT, he's awesome. He's such a driven, hardworking person. When it comes to the action scenes, he's the second director on the movie.
JSYK: Sounds really cool.
Lucas: Oh, it's awesome.
JSYK: When does it come out?
Lucas: I have no idea.
JSYK: Well, it's probably something I can look up.
Lucas: Well let me know when you find it out.
JSYK: I will do that. So what's up next?
Lucas: I have a series on Fearnet.com. It's called Fear Clinic and it's gonna be cool it's coming out on Halloween.
Check out this behind-the-scenes look at a photo shoot Lucas did recently in the desert (he calls it the country) - You get to hear his awesome laugh - we heard it a couple of times during our interview too. And don't forget, 'Hannah Montana: The Movie' is now available on DVD and Blu-ray.
In the second part of our interview with Lucas, we asked the tough questions. Okay, not really. But we did get to talk about what kind of dog he wants to get, how he deals with fame and if he's dating Miley Cyrus.
Okay, so that's really you? Yeah, it is. And it should be verified now.
And you graduated high school with honors? I think so. Yeah.
Your favorite food is beef jerky? That is true.
Wow, the Internet is not so bad so far. Yeah, it isn't. That's actually really accurate. Keep going.
You never rode a horse before Hannah Montana The Movie? That is also true.
Were you nervous about that? You seem pretty natural in the movie. Well I appreciate that. No, I love doing stuff that kind of makes you scared a little bit. It's just a horse. I'd be more scared to jump on a dirt bike than a horse.
I'd be the other way around, I don't really like horses. Oh, I LOVE horses.
Do you have any pets? Are you a dog person? Um, yeah, I love dogs. I can't have one. I could, but if I'm gonna get a dog, I'm not going to get a dog that I could eat in one meal. I can't stand those little fluffy...you know what I'm talking about, any toy anything... Can't stand that. A dog is like...a German Shepherd, that's what I want. Or a Husky. And I don't have any room for that in my apartment right now.
Okay, this last rumor we're pretty sure is wrong. Are you dating Miley Cyrus, Emily Osment and Taylor Swift? [Laughs really, really hard] No, no that's not true at all. That's awesome though, I love that.
Is that weird for you though, to go from just doing your thing to now every girl in America knows who you are? Well, every little girl in America may, but not every girl does. Because if every girl did, I'd be a happy man. All I wanted was the 18-21 year olds know who I am, but whatever. It's changed a little bit. I can't wrap my brain around it though because it's overwhelming so I just tend not to think about it. I look at is as if I'm dreaming or I'm playing a video game. It's not real.
