It's hard to believe that the beautiful Colbie Caillat was every anxious or unsure of herself, but just like every other person, the California native developed insecurities at a young age. In a recent interview with PopEater, the singer-songwriter talks about how she overcame those feelings and how the experience inspired the title of her new album, Breakthrough.

"All my life I have had really bad stage fright and had been fighting with my insecurities that I had gained over the years from when I was a little girl," she says. "They were distracting me from living my life to the fullest and enjoying my career that was at my fingertips. So I decided to 'breakthrough' all of those barricades I built around myself, take chances, accept new challenges and risks every day, and not take myself to seriously anymore."

Watch clips from Colbie's own home movies and hear the "bubbly" singer talk about the songs on her new record in this exclusive PopEater video! 'Breakthough' is available in stores and on iTunes today!
