"They are amazing guys and we had a lot of fun shooting their video in Nashville," Emily tells JSYK.
In our exclusive interview with the New York rockers, frontman CJ Baran talks about the band's new record, getting Emily to star in their video and whether she and a Push Play member have a real-life romance brewing.
JSYK: How did you get Emily Osment to be in your 'Midnight Romeo' video?
CJ Baran: She's on the same label as us so it was easy!
JSYK: Is there a love connection between Emily and any of the band members?
CJ: There's something, but [it's] under wraps.
JSYK: You've accomplished so much as an unsigned artist, including selling out Irving Plaza and Nokia Theater in New York City. How will things be different now that you're signed to a record label?
CJ: We think it will be more of a sense of security. Before this it was just us winging it and hoping it stuck but now there's real direction that's been tried and models that work.
JSYK: What can your fans expect from your new album, Found?
CJ: A very broad and eclectic album. We tried to touch on all genres of music and give everyone a tasting and be all encompassing. And the songs were all written or co-written by us and what we've gone through as teenagers. So many people, both male and female, will be able to relate to the songs.
Push Play's new album Found will be available in stores and online on September 29!
