Eight years after the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, America is still mourning the loss of thousands of brave loved ones. Today we remember September 11, 2001.

Eleven days after the attacks, 200 artists, public figures, athletes, and police workers came together to remake the song 'We Are Family,' and the entire process was documented in a film with the same name.

Stars such as Spike Lee, Patti LaBelle and Diana Ross are shown in their natural light, without make-up or fancy wardrobe changes so that the focus of the film stayed true to its original intentions.

Watch the entirety of 'We Are Family' here.
