Miley Cyrus has pre-taped a special performance that will air at the "Rock a Little, Feed a Lot" concert in Los Angeles on September 29. The 16-year-old singer/actress is among a star-studded lineup of celebrity presenters and performers appearing at the benefit to raise awareness about hunger in America.
Like Miley, One Republic and Rob Thomas have also pre-taped performances that will air during the event. Sheryl Crow, Joel & Benji Madden, Ben Harper and more are scheduled to perform live for the benefit, which will raise funds for Feeding America and the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank.
"It is so important for everyone across the country to dare to be conscious and aware of the struggles of those around them -- even if those struggles are not the same as their own," Sheryl Crow said in a statement. "Feeding America does just that, and it's a great privilege for me to unite with them in their cause."
September is Hunger Action Month and "Rock a Little, Feed a Lot" intends on drawing attention to the 35 million Americans who are at risk of hunger. Tickets for the event are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com.
