Yup. It almost happened.
Lucy Hale has made quite a name for herself starring in the CW series 'Privileged' and guest starring on Wizards of Waverly Place, but she almost made it to the big screen as Alice Cullen in the Twilight series!
"I auditioned for Twilight," she said. "It was for Ashley Greene's part. She plays Alice. I didn't even have any idea what Twilight was then!"
Even though Lucy has amassed a long list of TV roles, her stint on Wizards of Waverly Place still had the experienced actress a little rattled. "It was my first time being in front of a live audience, so I was really nervous," she says.
"And the character was a lot different from me in real life. But everyone was so sweet, and the writers are so talented, and the cast is really, really talented. And I'm so happy for everyone's success, like they just won an Emmy. They deserve it."
Now the 20-year-old actress/singer is starring in an original Lifetime movie called Sorority Wars.
"Her mom was in a sorority," Lucy tells about her character Katie Parker. "She was a Delta. And [Katie] was raised her whole life thinking she was gonna fulfill the legacy and follow in her mom's footsteps." Instead, Katie pledges at another sorority and the Deltas set out to make her life as difficult as possible. Cue the drama!
