You would think Jackson Rathbone's plate is full enough with New Moon heading to theaters on November 20, but the ambitious star is making time for music. Jackson is set to host Nashville's NewCon Festival, which is centered around inspiring young people to get more involved in the arts.
The three-day event will be headlined by Jackson's band, 100 Monkeys, and feature poetry, fiction and art competitions inspired by Twilight and New Moon. The winners of the writing and art contests will get a private meet-and-greet with all attending New Moon cast members and have their winning pieces signed by them!
"We wanted to do something different that inspires people to be creative," Jackson said in a statement. "NewCon offers all kinds opportunities for people - whether they're writers, musicians, or artists -- to share their talents in an interactive way that's fun."
NewCon Festival will be held on November 6-8 in Nashville, Tennessee. For more information, visit NewCon2009.com.
