Road Report: The Sunstreak Play An Intimate Show in Indianapolis
It's time for another installment of The Sunstreak daily tour blog and I, Jack, one of the two axes, has taken on the duties.
After our fantastic dinner at Stone Creek Dining Co. last night in Indianapolis, the band found itself a place to stay and awoke this morning to rock the kids of Indian Creek High School. The kids were nice and didn't ask a lot of questions at first, but once we finished up and started signing autographs, the banter flowed. Check out this quick pic during the performance of me snapped by little Bobby.
After the performance we had to haul tail to make a radio performance in downtown Indianapolis at Radio One with our newly made and one-name friends, Riggs and Rayne at WNOW. Wiith few mics brave enough to be used in studio, Tony and Dave took the reigns and laid down our radio single!!
Afterward, we had some time to kill so we stopped at -- you guessed it -- Walmart and did a little shopping. During our shopping trip, Jason decide to stay in the van and roam the halls of YouTube. In his travels, he stumbled upon this fan video and we thought we just had to share.
After Walmart, it was on to our third and final show of the day -- a small performance for our Indianapolis contest winners, Nia and Sam, in a pavilion during a rain storm in the dark. It was actually a really cool and intimate show, one of the smallest we've played, but sometimes those have a greater impact.
Now we are on our way to the fruitful broadcasting waves of Cincinnati. I'm driving and writing this blog, which is illegal, so I'm wrapping this up!!
Goodbye, Dr. Jones.
