TeenNick (formerly known as The N) has begun filming its brand-new series called Gigantic, the first original scripted show on the channel!

The dramedy is centered around the lives of several Hollywood teens, growing up in a completely unconventional way. The show stars Grace Gummer and Gia Mantegna, who are both real-life celebrity children. Grace is the daughter of actress Meryl Streep and Gia's dad is actor Joe Mantegna.

Grace plays Anna, the 17-year-old daughter of a movie star couple (not too far of a stretch!) and Gia stars as Anna's biggest frienemy. You might recognize Anna's friend, Piper, played by Jolene Purdy, who had a role as Mandella on ABC Family's 10 Things I Hate About You. Disney's As The Bell Rings star Tony Oller rounds out the cast as Anna's brother.

"Our audience loves celebrity and pop culture and Gigantic gives them a unique, relatable teen perspective on a world they rarely get to see," Marjorie Cohn, Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development for Nickelodeon said in a press release.

Gigantic will premiere in 2010!
