Taylor Swift is no stranger to winning awards, but the down-to-earth teen was still excited when she learned she was nominated for eight Grammys on Wednesday night.

"I started freaking out and jumping up and down," Taylor, who has never won a Grammy, tells the Associated Press. "I honestly never would have predicted this, eight nominations – I'm ecstatic, and blown away and so, so thankful."

Taylor was only topped by Beyonce, who received ten noms. The 19-year-old will be vying for album, song, record and country album of the year at the 2010 Grammys.

"To be recognized by the Grammys is the ultimate honor, and all I know is that when I write about this in my journal tonight it will be in all capital letters and underlined four times, and there will be lots of exclamation points in this entry because I never imagined I'd get to write this kind of journal entry," Swift says.

Check out the full list of nominations here. The 52nd annual Grammy Awards will air on January 31, 2010 on CBS.
