In true holiday spirit, Kelly Clarkson lent her time and a helping hand at the Tide Loads of Hope truck in New Orleans on December 12. The pop singer appeared at the Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot where she helped provide free laundry services to local families in conjunction with the charity.

Loads of Hope was founded in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. The program's disaster relief effort includes a mobile laundromat, which has over 32 washers and dryers capable of cleaning 300 loads of laundry per day. Volunteers like Kelly help by washing, drying and folding clothes for those in need.

Way to be a do-gooder, Kelly!
