Despite 'Twilight' overload, vampires are still cool according to the the top five chapter books on the New York Times Bestseller list. Also cool: witches, wizards, angels and gladiators.
James Patterson's 'Witch and Wizard' topped the list last week and 'The Hunger Games,' Suzanne Collins' series about a futuristic gladiator-like tournament is still selling strong at No. 2 with a whopping 68 weeks on the list. And the second book in the series, 'Catching Fire,' is right on the trail of its predecessor at No. 3.
Fallen, Lauren Kate's book about a girl who falls in love with two guys that happen to be angels, has only been out for three weeks, but reigns at No. 4 on the list. Now we get why Disney snapped up Fallen's movie rights so quickly. Rounding out the top five is the recently-released 'Beautiful Creatures' (we're currently reading it right now!), Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl's dark tale of star-crossed lovers. Look for our review when we finish reading it.
