Zac Efron not only stars in the upcoming spy thriller 'Fire,' he'll also executive produce the flick with his manager -- a far cry from his days dancing on the Disney Channel.
Fire is based on a book by the same name written by Brian Michael Bendis. Zac plays the role of a college student selected by the CIA for a project that runs tests on ordinary citizens to determine if they can be transformed into agents. And that's not the only project Zac has in the works. Rumor is he's also planning to star and executive produce another movie with his manager that will be similar to the 80s smash hit Back To The Future.
Zac's next big screen film (a darker role which he dumped his plans to star in the remake of Footloose for) is a drama called The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud and comes to theaters this summer. In it, Zac plays Charlie, a boy filled with sadness after the death of his younger brother. Tell us, how do you think fans will respond to Zac's more serious films?
