Olympian Nastia Liukin is using her talent and determination to inspire a new batch of gymnasts to work hard and stay focused on achieving their goals. This past weekend, the first ever Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup was held in Worcester, MA with proceeds benefiting the Nastia Liukin Fund.

"I think the girls are just ecstatic to be able to have that S shield on their warm-up and on their leotard," Nastia says about the pink Superman-like logo that's been adopted for the Cup. "I definitely think that all 36 of these girls are Supergirls."

Thirty-six gymnasts competed in four categories: vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. When the finals scores came in, Lexie Priessman from Cincinnati, Ohio took first place, Kassandra Lopez from Tucson, Arizona landed second, and Diandra Milliner of Andover, Kansas rounded out the top three.

"I am so thankful for this wonderful opportunity; it was a dream for me to meet Nastia," winner Lexie gushed. After the competition, Nastia tweeted a photo of her and Lexie together and said, "CONGRATS to all the girls & especially my new little Supergirl, Lexie Priesmann!"
