Hilary Duff's resume is full with credits as an actress, singer and fashion designer and now the 22-year-old star can add writer to the list. Hilary has signed a multiple book deal with Simon & Schuster, and will release Elixir, the first novel in her fictional series, this October.
Described as a "dangerous love triangle" and "thrilling international adventure," Elixir follows the story of Clea Raymond, young photojournalist and daughter of a Washington politician and a renowned surgeon.
Clea finds that a mysterious young man keeps appearing in her photographs, so she sets on a global adventure with her two best friends, Rayna and Ben. While doing so, she unravels the mystery of her soulmate's true identity and the secret behind her father's disappearance.
"I've always loved the escape of a great book, especially one that features a strong, inspiring female character you feel you really understand, someone who could be you, but living a more fascinating life," Hilary says. "I'm hoping Elixir will be that kind of book -- a novel that will transport readers and open new worlds for them."
