When Constance McMillen asked her school's principal back in December if she could bring her girlfriend to prom, she was told that wasn't allowed. "I explained to him that you can't pretend like there's not gay people at our school and if you tell people they can't bring a same-sex date, that is discrimination to them," Constance tells CBS News.

Since that initial conversation, officials at Mississippi's Itawamba Agricultural High School have cancelled the prom. The school says it's because of "distractions to the educational process caused by recent events," but Constance feels the real reason is because of her request to wear a tuxedo and bring her girlfriend. "I've had a few people come to me and say stuff to me like, 'You ruined my senior year,'" says the teen.

Constance, who feels like she's "fighting for prom for everybody now," recently sued the school to have the dance, which was scheduled for April 2, reinstated. Do you think Constance will win?
