Many college basketball fans were shocked when Kansas and Villanova were eliminated from this year's NCAA tournament, including President Obama, who picked both teams to make it to the Final Four and Kansas to win it all.

But 17-year-old Alex Hermann knew better.

So far, the Chicago area high school student has perfectly predicted 48 games. The odds of that? One in 13,460,000. Before making his predictions, Alex, who has autism, studied the size of the players and took note of "how good they are in defense and offense." He also used stats to give his bracket an edge.

"The sports announcers, like on ESPN, show numbers of each team and I memorized all the numbers of every game [teams] played against each other," Alex says.
See Alex's predictions for the Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight, and Final Four rounds here. In the end, he thinks Purdue, his brother's alma mater, will be the 2010 National Champions.
