In Jennifer's starring role, she plays a teen striving to be the official blogger for her class. In real life, Jen avoids the blog-o-sphere.
"Every time I go to an event or I have something coming out, you always have stuff on blog sites. I made the mistake once of checking the comments. It was a big mistake and I'll never do it again. It's like taking a knife. There were some kids that were very, very sweet. [They said], 'She looks beautiful. She's so talented.' And then there were the ones saying, 'She's fat. She's ugly. I don't know what she's doing. That outfit looks horrible.' That will be the last time."
Talking smack like that is so not cool, but Jen's lucky enough to have a good pal like Selena to make her feel great about herself. She says the two will hug it out on their last day of filming Wizard's third season, and could there be a joint Selena/Jennifer fashion line coming out? Maybe someday. But for now, Jen -- who considers her own style to be a mix of "1940s lady-like mixed with punk rock" -- has seen a preview of Selena's clothing line. "[The pieces] are very cute," she said. "They're all eco-friendly and they're very much her."
In 'Harriet,' this 17-year-old uncovers all the scoop, so we got her spilling the love deets about her real-life friends' relationships. She says Selena and Nick Jonas "are very sweet. They're very laid back. They're not very all over each other like some teenage couples." Does this mean the break-up rumors are false? Hmm.
The Texas native also confesses that she "did know" that Joe and Demi were dating before Demi blabbed to the media, and calls the newly minted couple "good for each other." "They're both into music and they're both good friends," she told us. "They make a good pair whether they're just friends or something more."
In fact, the "mildly addicted to Twitter" actress thinks dating your BFF is a good idea for any teen. "I think the best relationships stem from friendships. I think it's a fantastic idea for you to be friends first with a guy and just be yourself, enjoy his company, and then if it turns into something more, it's probably better that way."
And since Jennifer stars on a hit TV show with Selena Gomez, you'd expect her to be up-to-speed on this season's breakout shows, right? Not so. While talking about Glee, she confesses, "I've only seen one episode, but the episode I saw was really good. It's kind of ironic that I don't watch it because I love musical theater." As for The Vampire Diaries, she's only seen a handful of episodes, but calls the evil brother the hotter one. "You always have to go for the bad boy. It's so much more interesting."
Oh la la! Speaking of vampires, Jen's read all of the Twilight books, but hasn't seen the trailer for Eclipse yet. She's Team Edward through and through and Breaking Dawn is her fave book in the Twilight series. Here's where she disagrees with Kristen Stewart. When we ask this fanpire where she stands on the one-movie-or-two Breaking Dawn debate, she dishes, "I would like one...but the Twilight fans agonize, so they'll probably split it up into two."
