To say Amanda Seyfried isn't a Twi-hard is quite the understatement.
"It's hard, that type of movie," she spills to MTV. "I still don't know how I feel about [Twilight] because of the hype. It makes me not even want to be near that realm of that kind of genre. It became something else. It was an animal. A lot of people saw it, luckily, but it's become a stereotype."
All that pop-culture mania made the 24-year-old actress nervous about signing on to work with Twilight's director Catherine Hardwicke on The Girl With the Red Riding Hood. To ease those fears, Amanda says Catherine made it clear that this movie "isn't going to be Twilight."
Still, Amanda's not fully dedicated to the film yet. She says they're currently in negotiations and adds, "I don't know if I'm definitely doing it. I hope it works out."
