"I've got a record coming out in June and then I'm done," she tells E!. "I just want to work in movies. That's what I like, and that's what I want to be doing."
Miley also said on The View, "The music industry isn't as positive as I'd like it to be." We bet it's extremely tough, but do you think Miley's career jump is a smart decision? The Last Song's director Julie Anne Robinson seems to think so.
"[Miley's] like Julia Roberts. I feel Miley can do anything -- action, comedy, drama. She's got it all. Our director of photography worked with Julia years ago and when Miley came in for the screen test, he said, 'This really reminds me of when Julia Roberts walked on set.'"
What a compliment for a big-screen newbie! Despite what Miley says, we bet she'll always be doing music to some degree, like writing songs for the soundtracks of the movies she stars in.
