Robert Pattinson hails from the UK, so should we be surprised to learn they're as obsessed with vampires as we are? The Vampire Diaries is a smashing hit with teens, and across the pond the show brings in about half a million viewers weekly.

Looks like Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon Salvatore, is a fan of British vamps, too. "I've met Robert Pattinson before," he says. "He's a nice guy. But I don't know anything about Edward, because I've never seen any of the Twilight movies. I hear he's a stud, though."

Say what...he stars on TVD and has never seen Twilight? That's one way to keep the two blood-sucking crazes pretty different.

Vampire Diaries fans here, there, and everywhere can look forward to the fireworks set to go off at the Founders' Day Gala. In the April 22 episode, Elena will compete against Caroline for the title of "Miss Mystic Falls" with Elena and Damon partnering up for the dance segment of the competition. Where are you, Stefan?

Speaking of the sweeter Salvatore, Damon discovers that his brother is hiding a mega-secret that could affect everyone in the small town.
