Update: This is not true. Thanks to JSYK reader Jesscia for noticing this tweet on Justin's Twitter page: "NOT goin behind a glass shield. That is lame. gonna b with my fans."
According to the Sydney Daily Telegraph, Justin Bieber's only public show in Australia was canceled, and now its rescheduled date is coming with extra precautions. The singer will be performing behind a glass pane for his own safety.
Justin was originally scheduled to perform at a shopping center in Sydney on April 25, but fans reportedly reacted so intensely to the news that organizers had to change their plans.
Instead, the 16-year-old Canadian star will be performing his hit single, 'Baby,' behind a glass window on the Sunrise program at Channel 7's Sydney studio on April 26 at 7 a.m.
Do you think the safety measure was too extreme? Is Bieber Fever out of control? Justin's public mall performance surely would have come with heavy security. Now fans will only be able to see the pop sensation from afar or on TV. However, no one wants a repeat of the Roosevelt Field Mall incident. Also, JB's safety is a top priority for his team, so making sure he's out of harm's way is the No. 1 goal. What do you think?
