There are issues in the world that are always going to cause controversy and the issue of being home schooled or going to a public school will probably be one of those that no one can really ever agree on.
Some say its better to be taught in an environment with other kids while others say it is better to stay home and get one-on-one attention. This Teen Ink article, by Catie from Jessup, MD, focuses on her life as a home schooled student and how that choice didn't change her life as much as you might think it would.
I get stereotyped a lot. When I meet someone for the first time, we'll be talking about movies, music, or summer jobs – then, the dreaded question: "So, where do you go to school?" I shift slightly. I know how they're going to react. I know that they'll give me a weird look and then find an excuse to move on, muttering a derogatory remark as they smirk at me. You see, I'm home schooled.
