Lou Eyrich is the fashion mind behind Glee's style statements and gives each character their individual look. She spills that homeschool looking Rachel Berry gets a minor makeover for the second half of this season. Expect "bolder colors, bright tights, knee highs, but less argyle socks." In the first episode back from break, Rachel wore a red skirt with a bow on the front. Like it? It's from Forever 21, so it's totally affordable.
The boys' wardrobes are pretty straightforward. Well, minus Kurt who's such a fashion diva, he wouldn't be caught dead in a cashmere sweater from Target. (Psst: That brown turtleneck scarf he wore recently is by Michael Kors and Lou confesses, "It wasn't worn right. It was wrapped twice, but it's supposed to wrap once and then the ends hang down in front). Jocks like Finn and Puck are much less designer adventurous, so Lou mostly hits up Abercrombie & Fitch, The Gap, and American Eagle for them.
Then there's Rachel's new forbidden love Jesse St. James. "At first I thought he was going to be a lot more preppie, but they wanted him darker and more mysterious," Lou explains about her reasoning for dressing him in a black distressed jacket from Urban Outfitters.
