Despite our hopes that Kristen Stewart would temporarily say 'Buh-bye, Hollywood' and 'Hello, Bollywood,' it's not happening.
Kristen was rumored to have been offered the lead role in a Bollywood film named Paani by Indian director Shekhar Kapur. However, Kristen's rep confirms, "She is not set to star in this movie."
In case you're unfamiliar with the term 'Bollywood,' it's used to describe films that originate from movie mecca Mumbai, India, which used to be called Bombay. Bollywood isn't an actual place, just a combination of Hollywood and Bombay.
Kristen's already a globally recognized actress, but adding a successful Bollywood flick to her resume would give her career credibility and be a welcome change from the her highly anticipated Twilight roles.
But what's officially being served next on Kristen's acting plate is a role in the film On the Road. "I am about to play Marylou," KStew spills about bringing to life the character from a 1957 classic novel by Jack Kerouac. "I am very much attached to [this] movie that has been trying to get made forever...I am super excited about it, too."
