Last Thursday, JSYK hung out in New York City with Nancy Kirkpatrick, president of worldwide marketing at Summit. While attending the "What Teens Want" conference, Nancy dropped a Breaking Dawn bombshell: There still hasn't been a decision made on whether or not Breaking Dawn will be two movies. Given her high power job, Nancy would be one of the first people to know.
This is getting to be ridiculous. Yes, we know who the director will be (Bill Condon), but doesn't he need to know if this fourth film will officially end the series? The Breaking Dawn director hasn't even reached out to cast members yet. Nikki Reed says she's still "looking forward to" talking to Bill.
Here's where we see the holdup: Rumors are swirling that Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene want bigger paychecks -- to the tune of 4 million bucks -- before they'll agree to film a fifth movie.
Even though these two Cullens don't have nearly as many lines to memorize as Edward, Bella, and Jacob, they're arguing for more money because they claim to have just as many publicity events to attend to promote the movies. As soon as the back-and-forth financial hardballing ends is when Summit will finally announce that yes, Breaking Dawn will be divided into two movies.
