After just a few months, Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato have split. We know it's hard to believe after all the recent Jemi gushing, but the perfect Disney pair has called it quits.

"Demi and I knew going into our romantic relationship that it may not be an easy one," Joe tells People. "I realize over the time we have shared together that I feel I care more about our friendship right now. It was my choice to break up but I love her as a friend. She's been there for me when I needed her. I will continue to be her friend and be there for her."

Although reports claimed Joe broke up with Demi over the phone like he did with Taylor Swift two years ago, the 17-year-old singer quickly used Twitter to set the record straight. "There are so many crazy rumors flying around today," she tweeted. "I'd like to clear a few things up. First, Joe and I did split but it wasn't over the phone. Things didn't work out but we'll remain friends."

But is that really possible? The two stars are set to embark on a world tour on July 27 in support of their upcoming movie Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, and will spend three full months together on the road. The exes will also have to make more public appearances to promote their film, which doesn't air until September 3. Do you think they can stay friends through it all?
On one hand, Joe and Demi have known each other forever, so it shouldn't be too hard. Plus, Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas will always be around to diffuse awkward moments. But on the other hand, relationships can change after a breakup causes someone's pride to feel wounded. What do you think? Will Joe and Demi be able to remain friends like they say they will?
