Bus Driver Takes Wrong Students to An Amusement Park

Thirty high school students from North Jersey almost ditched classes to go to Six Flags Great Adventure amusement park...just not on purpose.

The Ridgefield Park High School students boarded what they assumed was their normal bus on Wednesday, May 19 around 7:45 a.m. Turns out, a bus driver showed up early to take seventh and eighth grade students on their rollercoaster-filled field trip. Oops.

The high schoolers grew suspicious once the bus started cruising down the New Jersey Turnpike, but the driver wouldn't listen to their demands to turn around.

Uh, why would anyone lie about wanting to go to school instead of an amusement park?

Using their cell phones, students called their parents and the school. Eventually the driver realized he was transporting the wrong students and started on his way back -- but the school already called the police by then.
Officers stopped the bus and one rode along with the students to make sure everyone arrived back safely.

What a crazy story! Has anything like this ever happened to you?
