Apple Sells 2 Million iPads in Less Than Two Months
On Monday, Apple announced that it has sold 2 million iPads in less than 60 days since the gadget hit stores on April 3. We're not too shocked at this number -- the California tech company sold more than 300,000 of its latest item on its first day.
Last weekend, Apple began shipping the iPad around the world to countries such as Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the U.K. International customers have been waiting patiently to get their hands on the gadget. Check out the photo of James Lee, the first customer to buy an iPad from a store in central London. Doesn't he look stoked? By July, nine more countries will be able to buy the iPad, too.
Many people have criticized the device, saying that it's just an oversized version of the iPhone, but it seems that at least 2 million people in the U.S. disagree. What do you think? Is the iPad the coolest gadget around?
