While Gleeks are still getting over the season finale of Glee, it looks like they'll still have something to sing about this summer. The hit Fox series has signed a five-book deal with Little, Brown, which includes a prequel novel to be released in August.'The Beginning,' the first book of the series, is an original novel that will go into the lives of the show choir crew before they were united by New Directions.
We've seen how far they've come in just one year; imagine where they started! The book will also come with a double-sided poster, and be out just in time for Season Two of the musical comedy.
In other Glee-tastic news, Fox has launched a brand-new Glee Superfan site that will be up all summer. Gleeks can watch full episodes, behind-the-scenes videos, bonus interviews and all the music clips from the show. There's even a promise of a photo booth tool that let's you embed your face with the Glee stars, although we don't think it's been posted to the site just yet.
Fans can pre-order 'Glee: The Beginning' now on Amazon. What do you think of the book series? We know it's not the same as listening to the crew sing, but will it tide you over between seasons?
