Twi-hards have twice the reason to celebrate today. After months of speculation by fans and cast alike, Summit Entertainment has finally confirmed it: Stephenie Meyer's Breaking Dawn will be divided into two movies.
The first of the two vampire flicks will hit theaters on November 18, 2011. A release date for the second installment of the novel has not been announced.
Bill Condon will direct both movies, and -- after some intense salary negotiations between the studio and Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz -- all of the franchise's main players are confirmed to return. However, it's not clear yet whether or not Dakota Fanning will once again play power-loving Volturi member Jane.
Those signed on for Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2 won't get a break between shooting the two sure-to-be box office hits. Production launches this fall and the movies will be filmed all together over a span of four to five months.
