The worldwide premiere of Eclipse is set to take place on Thursday, June 24 in Los Angeles, and Twi-hards have already begun camping out for the event.
L.A. Live plaza opened to the public on Monday morning, and soon hundreds of people flooded the area with tents and camping gear. Check out Jennile LeCompte (left) and Shannon Zaldivar (right) in this photo. The California natives brought their Edward pillows and even decked out their tent with pics of Robert Pattinson.
Over 600 people are currently staked out at the concrete site, and around 3,000 people are expected to arrive by the night of the premiere to catch a glimpse of Rob, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and more.
But for those who are toughing it out in the plaza, the reward will be sweet. Rumor has it that Summit Entertainment will be holding special events and activities for the devoted campers, including cast appearances and a live stream of acoustic performances by artists on the Eclipse soundtrack.
What do you think of the Twi-hards camping out in L.A.? Would you do it if the premiere were in your city? Or is it too much effort just to see the red carpet action? Eclipse opens in theaters nationwide on June 30.
