Breaking Dawn screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg revealed recently that the film adaptation of the book would more mature than the previous movies in the Twilight series.
"You will see sex. Yes!" she spills. "The relationship [between Edward and Bella] does go all the way in the book, so in the movie, it will as well. You are going to see more skin in Breaking Dawn than you did in the other films...I don't know if it has to be R-rated, but it has to be what the book is, which means more skin...I will definitely be writing more skin."
If the two Breaking Dawn movies do end up receiving the R stamp for sex and some nudity, they'll isolate the franchise's younger fans who wouldn't be able to purchase tickets alone.
Is staying true to Stephenie Meyer's writing worth doing that?
