It's not often that people speak of Lady Gaga and President Barack Obama in the same sentence, but the two public figures are in a heated competition, whether they know it or not. One of them will soon be crowned the first living person to reach 10 million fans on Facebook. In the unofficial face-off, Lady Gaga is currently leading with 9,532,200 likes, while the President is trailing by just over 200,000 with 9,299,912. It's a close race, one that could be decided by the weekend.
Scoring 10 million fans would be a huge feat for whoever wins, but believe it or not, that still wouldn't make the pop star or the President the most popular person on Facebook. Michael Jackson, who passed away last year, actually holds the No. 1 spot with over 13.8 million fans.
Regardless of who wins, both Lady Gaga and President Obama have the attention of a huge percentage of Facebook's 400 million users. Who will reach 10 million likes first? We'll just have to wait and see.
