While all of us are celebrating the Fourth of July this weekend, some of our favorite Canadian celebrities, like Justin Bieber, Cory Monteith, Chelsea Hobbs, Nina Dobrev, Shay Mitchell, Devon Bostick, Rachelle Lefevre and Nikki Yanofsky, will be celebrating Canada Day today.

"Happy Canada day!!!" Chelsea tweeted this morning. "I am so incredibly proud to be Canadian:) I wish I was there with you all to celebrate! Xo."

What is Canada Day? It's a lot like our Independence Day, as it's often referred to as "Canada's Birthday." Canada Day, formerly known as Dominion Day, is the day that Canada was "born." On July 1, 1867 the British North America Act was enacted, uniting Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and the Province of Canada (Ontario and Quebec) into one single country.

Since most of our fave Canadians won't be in their country to celebrate the holiday, they'll have to show their national pride another way. Expect to see plenty of tweets, pics of celebs with Canadian flags or even Facebook statuses with lyrics from the Canadian anthem 'O Canada' on this day. Happy Canada Day, everyone!
