He's got the looks, the physique and the martial arts moves that make him a perfect action-movie star, so it's no wonder why 20th Century Fox wants Taylor Lautner to star in X-Men: First Class.

According to Showbiz411, the studio has been eying the Eclipse star, and has even gone as far as to check his availability before before offering him a role. If he signs on, the 18-year-old actor will join James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender who will play Professor X and Magneto in the film, which focuses on the early years of the mutants.

X-Men: First class is expected to begin filming this summer, aiming to be released on June 3, 2011. However, Taylor has quite the busy schedule -- he's currently filming the action thriller Abduction, and will begin production on Breaking Dawn this October.

It would be amazing if he could be involved in the new X-Men movie, but it looks like it'll be hard to squeeze it in before the next Twilight film. What do you think? Would Taylor be a good addition to the X-Men: First Class cast? %Poll-49179%
