The American Idol tour is currently traveling across the country, but last season's fifth place finalist Aaron Kelly seems to already be thinking ahead to his next musical project.

"A lot of my fans are Bieber fans as well," the 17-year-old tells JSYK. Does that mean he's dreaming of becoming Justin Bieber's next opening act? Not quite.

"I think it would be really cool to collaborate. We're both around the same age, so we'd create a cool vibe. He's going down a little bit different road than I am, though. He's more pop. I'm like country."

So, who makes Aaron's short list for the perfect tour buddy? "For me, touring with Taylor Swift would be a better idea. That's more of the audience that suits me the best."

Want to be in Aaron's emerging star position this time next year? Here's his personal advice to any teen trying out for next season's American Idol.
"When you're going into audition and you're young, the best thing for you to do is sing a young song, something that represents you as an artist," Aaron confides. "When I went into audition, I changed my song last minute to "The Climb." When I sang that, Simon told me it was a perfect choice of song for me."
