Taylor Swift sat down to talk to fans during a special Ustream event on Tuesday where the 20-year-old country star announced that her third studio album, 'Speak Now,' will be released on October 25. Need a moment to scream? We did, too.
"Ever since we put out 'Fearless' I've been writing this one," Taylor said. "Through the past two years, I've been through a lot of things that I have been dying to write about and talk about. There were a lot of things that I wanted to say in the moment but couldn't, and this album is my opportunity to do that."
But that's not all. The first single from 'Speak Now' is called 'Mine,' and superfans will get to hear it next month when it debuts in mid-August. The song is one of roughly 14 tracks on the new record, and is about "my tendency to run from love," she said.
"Every really direct example of love that I've had in front of me has ended in goodbye and has ended in breakups and things like that," Taylor added. "So I think I've developed this pattern of sort of running away when it comes time to fall in love... This song is sort of about finding the exception to that."
Taylor also answered many of her fans' questions during the UStream broadcast, talking about her new home, the video for 'Mine' and much more. Are you excited to hear Tay's new album?
