"'The Yearbook' really shows who I am as a young man and as an artist," he tells JSYK. "I actually got to sit down with a lot of great producers and writers and soak up a lot of inspiration. They brought the best out of me. I actually co-wrote and co-produced some of the stuff on the album, including the single, 'Turn It Up.'"
In his video for 'Turn It Up,' Mishon literally brings life back to the party when he ignites it with his energy. He shows off his dance skills from start to finish, and gets a little help from his friends Roscoe Dash and Lil Mama.
Even though his life is a little glitzier than most, Mishon still goes to school like any other 17-year-old. But things are slightly different for the rising star. "A lot of people at school know who I am, and sometimes when I'm doing my homework, girls will come over and say hi or whatever," he says.
"And I've got all the teachers in the school watching my video, so it's pretty cool." Watch Mishon's 'Turn It Up' video below and be on the lookout for his debut album, 'The Yearbook,' which is slated to be released later this year.
