Zachary Bonner has been raising money to help kids for the past six years...and he's only 12.

In 2004, Zach pulled his red wagon through his community to collect food for families devastated by Hurricane Charley. That led to founding his charity Little Red Wagon Foundation Inc. when he was just six years old.

Since Christmas day, Zach has been walking from Tampa to Los Angeles, which will total about 2,500 miles, to benefit his foundation. Should he complete his journey, Elton John promised to donate $50,000.

"One of the points of the walk is to bring awareness to homeless children, but also to encourage other kids to get involved in their community," Zach says. "I guess that would be the thing that I would like kids to realize."

Pretty incredible story, huh? Movie producers think so, and purchased the rights to Zach's life story. All the money Zach received when straight to his charity and shooting on the feature film began this summer.
Zach walks about 20 miles a day in the summer heat with his mom and family friend alternating walking beside him. The rest of his team follows in a Volkswagen Beetle that has, yup, a red wagon attached to the top. So far, Little Red Wagon Foundation Inc. raised $120,000 this year to help needy children.
