Taylor Swift, are you ready for some football?

The country superstar will sing before the defending Super Bowl champs' opening game against the Minnesota Vikings on September 9. You can catch Taylor's performance, which presumably will be outside on a large stage located close to the Saints' Superdome, on NBC during its live pregame coverage.

The Dave Matthews Band will be joining Taylor, and another artist will be selected to sing the National Anthem. We have two talented people in mind: Demi Lovato and Jordin Sparks. Why them? Simple. They're football fanatics, both have a family link to the NFL, and they already have experience singing the National Anthem before NFL games.

This past weekend, the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals participated in a Hall of Fame game that kicked off the pre-season and Jordin, whose dad played for the New York Giants, tweeted, "THANK THE LORD FOR FOOTBALL! YES! :)"
Demi also cheered on her hometown team and tweeted, "Football!!!!!!! GO COWBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!" No one in her family played for the Cowboys, but her mom did cheer for them years ago. Are you a football fan?
