From the stars of Twilight to Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift, the Fame comic book series is really on top of their pop culture icons. Now the biographical comics have tapped another popular phenom: Glee.
The 32-page comic book Fame: The Cast of Glee takes a magnifying glass to the careers of the actors and talent behind the hit musical comedy. Gleeks will be able to find out how Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer have risen to the top, all through colorful graphics.
The title also focuses on Glee creator Ryan Murphy, who has become a star in his own right. The screenwriter/director has had a huge career, even before taking the helm at William McKinley High.
The Fame series aims to open up the world of comics to people who may not have been into them before. Cameron Cooke, writer of Fame: The Cast of Glee, explains that the Fox show has a similar effect. "Glee interests me for the same reasons comic books interest me," he says. "It gives a little bit of everything to everyone, and it seems to be made for the people who love it as much as it's made for the people who work on it."
Gleeks will be in for a huge treat this November when the comic book hits shelves during the second season of the show. Fame: The Cast of Glee will be available for $3.99 in comic book shops, online stores and Amazon.com. What do you think of the cover art for the book? Does it do justice for the New Directions crew and Sue?
