Time to put away your flip-flops and pull out the ankle booties. Celebrity stylist Jorge Ramon is telling you the top five back-to-school trends for fall and giving you pointers on how to pull off each look.
"The military trend is super strong," Jorge says. "Look for army green and olive, camouflage, epaulettes, and utility pockets. But make sure to keep it feminine by layering lace or floral."
Another hot trend this season will be grunge glam. "Create the rocker look with a classic plaid top or dress over layered tank tops, leggings, and don't forget the pre-requisite knit cap," Jorge dishes.
Jeggings (a mix of jeans and leggings) will also be huge this season. "Look for solids, ankle details, and super cool patterns to help make any back-to-school outfit feel new and fresh."
Show off your sweet style in class with lace, ruffles, pearls, and rhinestones. "Mini-skirts and pretty tiered tops are perfect for the 'girly girl' trend, but make sure not to get too sweet -- add an edge by layering jewelry or wearing dark tights and booties to give it dimension and add a modern feel."
To really go for that girly-meets-edgy style, Jorge says to think black. "This look is all about leather jackets with skinny jeans, or a short dress and booties with studs. Add sequins or lace for the feminine balance."
