BieberFever has infected one more person. Step Up 3D's director Jon Chu is officially hired to head up Justin's upcoming 3D film.

Oscar winner Davis Guggenheim was originally slated for the position, but dropped out due to his busy schedule. The show needed to go on, so cameras kept rolling this week despite the lack of a director. However, the confusion won't effect the film's release date, which is still set for Valentine's Day weekend 2011.

"When I was approached about doing Justin's film, I jumped at the opportunity to tell a story with honesty and heart," Jon says. "Most people don't know that his is a true underdog story, and I hope to tell it in a compelling, genuine way, using all source materials available to convey his tale of becoming an icon for this digital age."
Justin's going to be filmed for the rest of the month, and his show at Madison Square Garden on August 31 will be shot using 3-D cameras. Are you glad his movie will include 3-D technology?
