"America's newest singing sensation," the promo starts off while a trio of teen girls gush in front of a computer watching a Justin video. 'He's taken over the Internet and converted the world into Beliebers."
The slick black and white promo puts Bieber in the same category as Elvis and The Beatles, a comparison that seems far-fetched, but actually isn't.
It's been nearly a year since we here at the JSYK office became official Beliebers and looking back at the past year, there's no denying Justin's incredible success. He has truly captured the word's attention - no easy feat.
From fan chaos in Paris, France to an actual Belieber stampede in Sydney, Australia to getting his own comic book and Google page, Justin has more than secured his pop culture phenomenon status and is pretty much a shoe-in to pick up a moonman statue for Best New Artist. Yep, it will be a nice night for Justin.
We're going to go ahead and call it right now, and we may be way off, but... we feel a Kanye West and Justin Bieber collaboration on VMA night. Here's why: Bieber is obviously going to be the 'it' musician of the night (how could he not perform?) and Kanye, who it has been announced will perform, is surely looking to repair his rep after last year's awful Taylor Swift incident. A West/Bieber duet would surely accomplish that. And then there's their recent Twitter sync up - the two obviously are open to working together and they have just enough time between now and when the Video Music Awards air live on September 12th to pull it off.
Make it happen, MTV. Make it happen. Will you be watching?
