Last week Lea Michele tweeted, "So excited for this weekend! My bday and the Emmys on the same day! So excited to have my family with me and get to be with my glee fam too!"
Co-star Mark Salling was also happy to spend quality time with Lea's fam because he tweeted from the red carpet, "Me and the birthday girl's parents at the emmys, they are one of the sweetest couples I've ever known," and posted a photo of the three of them together.
So cute. They're like one big extended Glee family all sharing the love and excitement. Amber Riley's mom was also there to lend support. The 24-year-old actress tweeted a photo of them together and captioned it, "Mommy and me at the Emmys! Hot date lol."
Glee's big winners were Jane Lynch, who won for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and the show's creator Ryan Murphy, who won the Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. In the end, Modern Family beat out Glee for Outstanding Comedy Series and the Glee cast used their Twitter pages to shower all of these winners with plenty of tweet love.
Harry Shum, Jr. wrote, "Emmys was a blast! Congrats to Ryan & Jane! So happy for Modern Family & Aaron Paul! Still would have loved to hear Conans acceptance speech."
Amber Riley echoed that saying, "Best Emmys ever. @jimmyfallon was the best host by far! Congrats Modern Family u deserved that Emmy! Your show is amazing and hilarious :)"
Kevin McHale also praised his competitor by tweeting, "So much fun tonight!!!! Congrats Jane and Ryan!! and modern fam!!! everyone was grossly beautiful! =)"
And the Emmy for best sportsmanship goes to?
