'Breaking Dawn' Birth Scene Will Be As Intense As It Is In The Book
Breaking Dawn screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg has been pretty vocal about the birth scene in the final installment of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series, and now she's saying that it will be just as powerful on the big screen as it is on the page.
"We're working on it," she told E! Online about scene in which Bella gives birth to Renesmee. "And we're working on it to be as intense as it is in the book."
As you know, Kristen Stewart's character nearly dies during the delivery, and in August, Melissa said that she wants to feel Bella's pain and see the "terror" and "fear" of the experience. However, the movie won't be trying to shock anyone with extreme gore.
"I don't think it's about the amount of blood you show," she added. "It's about the intensity of it. It's on their faces. It's all from Bella's point of view when you're seeing what's going. It should feel visceral. I think it's going to be pretty intense."
What do you think? Should the scene be just like the movie or should the screenwriter and director tone it down for the masses? Does this new info make you more or less excited to see Breaking Dawn when it comes out next November? %Poll-52238%
