Is Demi Lovato
breaking up with Twitter? The 18-year-old tweeted, "About to say goodbye to twitter... I love my fans so much but the access that the other people have is uncomfortable to me."
Her next post was, "Twitterbreak. Peace."
Relax, this doesn't look permanent; it's more like a Twitter vacation. Demi's account is still active, and she retweeted a message and sent another one Eva Longoria's way after making that announcement. Seems celebs and close friends are exempt from Demi's new no tweet rule.
We think haters are behind Demi's decision to part ways with Twitter. When Demi tweeted Eva, she was responding to the 'Desperate Housewife's' earlier message, "Sending love, strength, and prayers to my little sister @ddlovato - I have your back!"
Demi also retweeted Kanye West's
post, "I wish I could talk to every hater face to face and change there a opinion of me one conversation at a time."
An hour before her breaking tweet, the Dallas native had to explain to upset fans, "I didn't cancel my meet and greet.. I was so disappointed when I wasn't able to sing to and meet my fans tonight.. For safety reasons we couldn't follow through.."
Is Demi simply getting too overloaded with nastiness? Miley Cyrus
also ditched Twitter almost a year ago, but for different reasons. Her ex Liam Hemsworth
encouraged her to add more privacy to her life, so Miley took his advice and deleted the account. We hoped the end of their relationship
meant the beginning of another Twitter love affair for Miley, but no such luck.
