You love her as Sue Sylvester, and now Jane Lynch is bouncing over to Nickelodeon this Saturday to play Sam's mom on 'iCarly.' Gleek Miranda Cosgrove -- for one -- couldn't have been happier about having this year's Emmy winner for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy on set.

"It was so awesome," the 17-year-old tells me. "At first, I was a little nervous about meeting Jane because I'm such a fan of her work. I was so happy to find out that she's so nice and laid back. She was up for anything the director threw at her. We all loved having her here."
Loved having her? That doesn't sound very Sue-ish, but the comedy genius did take the liberty to add her own humorous twist to the episode that airs at 8PM.

"Jane is so funny and she would improv a little during her scenes. She definitely kept us on our toes."

And tested everyone's "I can keep a straight face" skills, we bet. Miranda now has just one message for Jane: Come back!

"I would love to have her back! She's perfect as Sam's mom. The character has been referred to so many times over the years that we've all tried guessing who could play Sam's mom. Jane was perfect -- better than anyone we ever came up with."

Check out the sneak peek we got our hands on of 'iSam's Mom." Pam Puckett gives off the same ruthless vibes as a certain coach we know and adore, no?
