High School Freshman Guesses Her Way to Perfect ACT Score
Jolee Potts has a big weight lifted off her shoulders. The Oklahoma high school student took the ACT as a freshman and ended up answering every single question correctly.
"I just took it as practice my freshman year and I figured I'd take it again junior or senior year, so I don't have to now," the 15-year-old says.
Jolee admits that she was nervous about how she'd do on the science section of the exam.
"I hadn't taken chemistry or physics yet and there were a bunch of questions on that, so I guess I'm a good guesser."
Now a sophomore, Jolee is still keeping a full schedule with four AP classes, Latin, and orchestra. She plans to take the SAT next year, and hopes to study medicine or aerospace engineering, although she's not sure which college she wants to attend yet.
"My mom, she was really excited," Jolee says about finding out she scored a perfect 36 on the exam. "I just wish my dad could have been here to see it. He passed away in March."
